Permit-ready, engineer-stamped shop drawings for access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems. PE-stamped. Fast turnaround. Serving electrical contractors and integrators in 24 states.

What Are Security & Access Control Shop Drawings?

Security and access control shop drawings are the complete set of construction documents used to design, permit, and install electronic security systems in commercial buildings. These drawings cover card access systems, CCTV camera systems, intrusion detection, and integrated security management platforms.

NFASD produces security shop drawings that meet the requirements of your local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) and the specific needs of your project.

We work directly with low-voltage integrators, electrical contractors, and general contractors. You upload your floor plans and project scope — we deliver a complete, stamped drawing package ready for permit submittal and field installation, typically within 1–2 business days depending on the complexity of the drawing.

What's Included in Every Drawing Package

A complete NFASD security drawing set contains everything your AHJ and installation team requires — no missing sheets, no back-and-forth.

Frequently Asked Questions

What information do you need to start a security & access control shop drawing?

We need your architectural floor plans (PDF format), a door schedule or list of controlled openings, the access control system brand and model, and any owner or AHJ-specific requirements. If you have a redlined set or existing drawings, include those too.

Which access control systems do you design for?

We design for all major access control platforms including Lenel, Software House (CCURE), Genetec, Honeywell Pro-Watch, Bosch, Avigilon, Verkada, Brivo, and others. If you have a preferred platform or one already specified for the project, let us know.

Do your drawings cover CCTV and intrusion detection as well as access control?

Yes. NFASD produces integrated security shop drawings that cover card access, CCTV camera systems, and intrusion detection on the same drawing set. We can also produce separate drawing packages for each system if required by the project.

Are security and access control drawings required for a permit?

Permit requirements for security systems vary by jurisdiction. Many AHJs require permit-ready, PE-stamped drawings for access control and CCTV systems in commercial buildings, particularly in healthcare, education, and government facilities. NFASD can produce drawings that meet your local AHJ requirements — contact us to discuss your specific project.
