About Us

National Fire & Security Design was established in 2023 as a culmination of partners who took pride in their work and go above and beyond to take care of their respective clients. The partners have worked together in different capacities for over 15 years and over forty years combined experience in the Security and Fire Alarm/Life Safety fields. We pride ourselves with having a quick turnaround for our clients and a 90% first time submittal success rate with the local AHJ's. Our projects range from small projects to complex high rise and campus style projects.

  Formerly the owner of Ellis Design and Drafting, LLC., Tom has been in the industry for over 25 years and has delivered quality drawings and even set the standards for required drawings in some states in his career. Tom has a rich history, working in the Aerospace industry previously including the Top Gun facility. Tom was introduced to the Security and Fire Alarm industry and never looked back.   

JW has spent the last 17 years in the design and sales of security and fire alarm systems for one of the largest providers in the world. J.W. has experience with the State and Local Government, Education and  Healthcare verticals. J.W. is a former officer for the Lee County Fire Marshals and Inspectors Association and is NICET Certified.
